Booster Super Simple Life Insurance

The borders have been flung wide open, and after being caged for two years (no need to say why – we all know), Kiwis can fly again! This, of course, has seen a recent exodus of young and young-ish Kiwis as they search for overseas opportunities, new sights and experiences, and a general change of scene.

Passport acquired ✔️ Travel-friendly, easy-to-lug luggage purchased ✔️ Travel insurance ✔️ (A very grown-up, responsible acquisition on your part, if you do say yourself.)

But what about life insurance in the event of a life-losing emergency?

Yeah. That escalated very quickly. It’s all a little intense, and not the sort of thing you like to dwell on too much, but it’s just one of those things that’s well worth considering before you traverse far from home.

Here’s our top four reasons why:

  1. Whilst some travel insurance policies may cover a portion of repatriation costs to get a body home, travel insurance doesn’t do the same as a life insurance policy (which, until now, you could be excused for thinking is solely for ages Gen X plus or those with dependents and property).

  2. Situations such as funeral expenses or covering any ongoing expenses or debts you may have at that point in your life are all things a life insurance payout can cover.

  3. Additionally, everyone is already missing you – having these expenses covered at a stressful time for your loved ones can greatly alleviate emotional burden and any financial strain on them. You may have financial commitments you share with people, such as your partner or family who rely on you for shared expenses – and you don't want to leave any bills behind to sort during a difficult time.

  4. Life insurance could get money to the people who need it, quickly, if you’ve nominated a beneficiary on our policy, so your loved ones don't have to carry you on their credit cards – only within their hearts.

The good news is if you’re a Booster KiwiSaver Scheme member, our Super Simple Life Insurance (SSLI) is exclusively available to you. And it does what it says on the box – it’s a life insurance designed to give cover for people with simple insured needs without all the extra (and expensive) bells and whistles.

The application is a straight-forward process, and you don’t have to jump through any arduous hoops – simply answer a few medical and lifestyle questions and you’ll receive an immediate response. Once we make a policy offer and you accept the terms, the policy is immediately active.

And the best bit? We’ll throw in a cheeky Reason Number Five here...

  5. Remember that all situations are unique. We recommend reaching out to a financial adviser to ensure this product is suitable for you and the best solution for your needs. We can help put you in touch with an adviser who will be happy to help.

Haere tū atu, hoki tū mai!
