Investment funds

The Booster KiwiSaver Scheme is made up of 16 different funds, each of which has a different investment objective and strategy.

Booster has in-house investment specialists, who, together with domestic and international external fund managers, manage your investments in each of the funds.

Our funds

Socially Responsible Investing (SRI) usually means not investing in those companies whose activities are considered to have negative social impacts.

Responsible investing

As part of our commitment to responsible investing, we have developed and use our own in-house process to integrate a range of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors into our investment decisions.

Booster has been a member of the Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA) since Oct 2015, and we're also a member of the NZ Corporate Governance Forum (NZCGF). We also closely follow, and are guided by, the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment and their Sustainable Development Goals Blueprint 2030.

We are committed to actively engaging with global fund managers who offer their funds in New Zealand. In 2016, we were instrumental in launching and seeding the Vanguard International Shares Select Exclusions Fund, in response to public concerns regarding indirect investments in controversial weapons.

The Booster KiwiSaver Scheme also offers two socially responsible investment (SRI) fund options, for those investors who want to go further than this and exclude industries that are not consistent with their own personal values (eg fossil fuels).

For very conservative investors, the Enhanced Income Fund can also be considered an SRI option, since it uses the same exclusion criteria as the two specific SRI funds.
