The PLPF story

We saw an opportunity for New Zealanders to invest in the very land that is the backbone of our country.
The benefits of investing in land were obvious to us. But the way to help people benefit from investing in land wasn't as clear.
That's why we created our Private Land and Property Fund (PLPF). PLPF is a specialised portfolio of unlisted New Zealand agricultural and horticultural land and other property investments.

Where is PLPF invested?

PLPF is invested in productive agricultural and horticultural assets. The land or property assets are then rented by a company looking to grow or supply crops – for instance, a winery or horticultural company – or operated directly.

Currently, the fund is predominately invested in viticulture assets in several regions across New Zealand alongside a kiwifruit orchard in Northland. Further development of existing investments, and diversification into different types of property is planned as the fund grows.
