Booster is delighted that its Savvy debit card gained international recognition at the Fintech Futures 2024 Banking Tech Awards in London, after being awarded Highly Commended in the ‘Best User/Customer Experience Initiative for Consumers’ category.
The Awards offer global recognition for excellence and innovation in the international financial technology (FinTech) sector.

Savvy is a daily transactional account linked to an investment fund that offers competitive rates of return, with a smart app to track spending and grow savings.
Savvy was a finalist in both the Best User/Customer Experience category, as well as a finalist in Best Use of Tech in Private Banking/Wealth Management’ categories.
Booster’s Chief Customer Officer Diana Papadopoulos says the achievement of Savvy on the world stage is significant.
“Savvy was the only New Zealand product represented at the Awards and was been sitting alongside international heavy hitters like J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo, and Merrill Wealth Management,” says Papadopoulos.
“This demonstrates not only what a great product Savvy is, but how New Zealand can foot it with the biggest FinTech companies in the world."
“We’re extremely proud of Savvy, the people and the work it took to bring such an innovative product to New Zealand’s financial services market. Savvy is a digital account with a Mastercard debit card that earns people a competitive rate of return (see current return rate). Savvy can also be used with EFTPOS if people don’t want to use contactless payments or it’s not available."
“Getting this recognition comes at a time where the FinTech sector in New Zealand is really starting to grow, with a lot of opportunities to increase competition in the financial services sector."
“We’re stoked to have Savvy recognised on the world stage in such a high caliber competition,” says Diana Papadopoulos.
